Repeater Terms of Use

Welcome to BTG Communications
Our repeater system/network is designed to provide quality communication services for all radio enthusiasts. To ensure a safe, respectful, and legal environment for all users, we have established the following terms of use. By becoming a subscriber, accessing, and using our repeater networks you agree to comply with these terms. Going forward throughout this document everything is being referenced as BTG in short for KLIC.llc/BTG Communications.

General Usage Guidelines
-
Confidential Repeater Data: The Commercial Frequencies and Privacy Tones, color codes, talk group IDs of both the GMRS and Commercial systems are considered the Intellectual property of BTG. Commercial frequencies issued by the FCC are strictly for BTG and its approved subscribers use. Any member that knowingly or unknowingly passes this data to any non-subscriber by any means or form is in violation of FCC regulations as well as the terms and Conditions set forth in this document. Any subscriber who violates this condition will be subject to disciplinary actions as outlined below. Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
-
Personal/Business Use: Use of BTG assigned frequencies in simplex, repeater, analog or digital modes for private or business use not authorized by BTG is strictly prohibited by both BTG and FCC regulations. Any subscriber who violates this condition will be subject to disciplinary actions as outlined below. Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
-
GMRS License Requirement: Use of BTG GMRS repeaters is strictly limited to individuals holding a valid FCC GMRS license.
-
DMR Access: Use of BTG DMR repeaters is fully open to all subscribers; no FCC license is required.
-
“Right to use” Requirement: All users are required to hold either a Single or Family subscription and must be authorized by BTG to use any of the BTG’s RF repeaters or input devices. This includes and is not limited to the use of Node’s, and or any other smart/internet device applications.
-
Prohibited Content: Users must not transmit any content that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or which encourages criminal conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions of an adult or pornographic nature.
-
No Profanity: The use of profanity or vulgar language is strictly prohibited on the repeater.
-
Respectful Communication: Users must always communicate in a respectful and courteous manner.
-
Emergency Traffic Priority: All users must yield to emergency traffic. In case of an emergency, cease all other communications immediately. In this scenario the individual that is calling in for emergency help will become the control operator of the station and all other stations must yield the same as we do for net controller.

Operational Guidelines
-
Identification: All users must identify themselves in accordance with BTG and FCC regulations by their assigned Unit number when utilizing DMR, or your FCC Call Sign when utilizing GMRS. Stations should identify at the beginning and end of a transmission or series of transmissions, at least once every 15 minutes during a long series of transmissions exceeding 15 minutes.
-
Signal Quality: Users should strive to maintain high signal quality to prevent interference with other communications.
-
Compliance with Laws: Users must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws while using the repeater.
-
Technical Issues Reporting: Any technical issues or interference experienced while using the repeater should be reported to BTG Staff as soon as possible.
-
Interaction with Nefarious Individuals: Any user that intentionally interacts with other individuals whose sole purpose is to disrupt BTG GMRS or DMR communications is strictly prohibited. Any subscriber who violates this condition will be subject to disciplinary actions as outlined below. Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Enforcement and Consequences of Violation
-
Monitoring: Be aware that communications via the repeater system may be recorded and monitored for compliance with these terms of use.
-
