BTG Communications respects the privacy of its members and takes the protection of member information seriously.

BTG collects only the information reasonably necessary to manage memberships, provide access to BTG systems and services, communicate with members, maintain operational records, and support the safe and reliable operation of BTG Communications.

Information collected may include a member’s name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, membership information, radio identification information, subscription details, and other information voluntarily provided to BTG.

BTG Communications does not sell, rent, trade, or provide member information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes. Member information may be processed by service providers when reasonably necessary to operate BTG services, administer memberships, deliver communications, maintain systems, or comply with applicable law. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile Information and SMS Consent
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent are treated as private member information. BTG Communications does not share, sell, rent, transfer, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information and messaging consent are used only by BTG Communications for the SMS communications that the member has affirmatively agreed to receive.

BTG may use the contact information provided by members to communicate important information relating to:

Membership and account matters
Repeater and system operations
Scheduled maintenance
System outages and restorations
Meetings and events
Weekly BTG Information Net reminders
Weather or emergency advisories
Safety or operational notices
Other important BTG-related information

Members who affirmatively opt in to SMS messaging may receive text messages from BTG Communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. BTG sends SMS messages sparingly and only when there is important information we want members to see.

Members may opt out of SMS messaging at any time by replying STOP to any BTG text message. Members may reply HELP for assistance or contact BTG Communications directly.

Opting out of SMS messages does not affect a member’s BTG membership and does not prevent BTG from communicating through other appropriate methods.

BTG takes reasonable measures to protect member information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Member information is retained only as necessary for membership administration, operational purposes, recordkeeping, and other legitimate BTG functions.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Welcome to BTG Communications

Our repeater systems and networks are designed to provide quality communication services for authorized radio users and BTG members. To help maintain a safe, respectful, reliable, and lawful environment, BTG Communications has established the following Terms of Use.

By becoming a BTG member or subscriber, accepting these Terms, accessing BTG services, or using any BTG repeater system or network, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use.

For purposes of this document, “BTG,” “BTG Communications,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to KLIC LLC / BTG Communications.

General Usage Guidelines

Confidential Repeater Data: Commercial frequencies, access information, privacy tones, color codes, talkgroup IDs, system credentials, and other non-public technical information relating to BTG systems are considered confidential and/or proprietary information of BTG. Commercial frequencies licensed or authorized for BTG operations are intended only for BTG and its authorized users. Members must not knowingly disclose confidential system or access information to unauthorized persons. Violations may result in disciplinary action as described below and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Personal/Business Use: Use of BTG-assigned frequencies, systems, repeaters, input devices, or other resources for private or commercial purposes not authorized by BTG is prohibited. Any member who violates this condition may be subject to disciplinary action as outlined below. Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
GMRS License Requirement: Use of BTG GMRS repeaters is strictly limited to individuals operating under a valid FCC GMRS license as required by applicable FCC regulations.
DMR Access: Use of BTG DMR repeaters is available to authorized BTG members. An FCC amateur radio or GMRS license is not required solely for access to BTG’s DMR system where operation is conducted under BTG’s applicable authorization.
Right-to-Use Requirement: All users must hold an appropriate active Single or Family membership or subscription and must be authorized by BTG to use BTG RF repeaters, networks, input devices, nodes, smartphone applications, internet-connected applications, or other BTG communication resources.
Prohibited Content: Users must not transmit content that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or that encourages unlawful or criminal conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, communications of an adult or pornographic nature.
No Profanity: Profanity and vulgar language are prohibited on BTG repeater systems and networks.
Respectful Communication: Users must communicate in a respectful and courteous manner at all times.
Emergency Traffic Priority: Emergency traffic always takes priority. When emergency traffic is declared, all other users must immediately yield the channel and avoid unnecessary transmissions. The station handling the emergency traffic will control the frequency or talkgroup for the duration of the emergency unless control is transferred to another appropriate station or authority.

Membership Communications and SMS Messaging

BTG uses email, telephone, SMS/text messaging, and other communication methods to provide members with important membership and operational information.

Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages. SMS participation is optional and requires a separate affirmative opt-in through the BTG membership signup form or another approved opt-in method. Members may become and remain BTG members without consenting to SMS messaging.

Members who provide a mobile telephone number and affirmatively opt in to SMS messaging during membership enrollment or through another BTG-approved opt-in process consent to receive SMS/text messages from BTG Communications at the mobile number provided.

SMS messages may include, but are not limited to:

Weekly BTG Information Net reminders
Meeting and event reminders
Membership-related notices
Scheduled maintenance notifications
Repeater or system outage notifications
Service restoration notices
Weather or emergency advisories
Important operational or safety information
Other communications directly related to BTG membership or services

Message frequency varies depending on scheduled activities, operational conditions, emergencies, and other BTG communication needs.

Message and data rates may apply according to the member’s wireless carrier and mobile service plan.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not permanent and may be withdrawn at any time. Members may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to a BTG text message or by contacting BTG Communications and requesting that SMS messaging be disabled for their membership record.

Members may reply HELP to a BTG SMS message or contact BTG Communications for assistance.

BTG will maintain the member’s SMS opt-in status as part of the member record. BTG will only send SMS communications through the membership messaging system to members whose records indicate that they have affirmatively opted in and whose telephone numbers are capable of receiving SMS messages.

Opting out of SMS messages does not terminate a BTG membership and does not prevent BTG from contacting a member through other appropriate methods when necessary.

Members are responsible for keeping their contact information, including their mobile telephone number, current and accurate.

Operational Guidelines

Identification: All users must identify themselves in accordance with applicable BTG and FCC requirements. When using BTG DMR systems, users must identify using their assigned BTG Unit ID as required by BTG operating procedures. When using GMRS, users must identify using their applicable FCC-issued GMRS call sign. Stations should identify at the beginning and end of a transmission or series of transmissions and at least once every 15 minutes during communications lasting longer than 15 minutes.
Signal Quality: Users should maintain adequate signal quality and proper operating practices to minimize interference and disruption to other communications.
Compliance with Laws: Users must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations while using BTG systems.
Technical Issue Reporting: Technical issues, interference, equipment problems, or abnormal system operation should be reported to BTG Staff as soon as reasonably possible.
Interaction with Nefarious Individuals: Users must not intentionally engage with individuals whose primary purpose is to disrupt, interfere with, jam, harass, or otherwise negatively affect BTG GMRS or DMR communications. Members who violate this condition may be subject to disciplinary action as outlined below. Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Enforcement and Consequences of Violation

Monitoring: Communications made through BTG repeater systems may be monitored and/or recorded for operational, safety, security, troubleshooting, and compliance purposes.
Violation Consequences: Violation of these Terms may result in warnings, temporary suspension, restriction of access, or immediate termination of membership or subscription without refund. Serious violations may be reported to the FCC, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities when applicable. Violations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Dispute Resolution: BTG administration reserves the right to make final determinations regarding access to and use of BTG repeater systems, networks, applications, and related services. Questions, disputes, or requests for clarification regarding these Terms should be directed to BTG administration.
Right to Report: Any active member or subscriber in good standing may report suspected improper repeater use or other violations of these Terms. Complaints should be submitted by email to info@btgcommunications.club within 48 hours of the suspected violation whenever reasonably possible and should include the date, approximate time, system or repeater involved, and a description of the incident.

Changes to Terms of Use

BTG Communications reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Updated Terms will be published through BTG’s website or other appropriate means. Members are encouraged to periodically review the Terms of Use for changes.

Continued use of BTG systems and services following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
